Jessica Tarr Shackelford


Jessica Tarr began her dance career when she was just 3 years old in​ Orlando Florida. ​While dancing for 20 years she is finally ta​king on her dream and owning a dance studio! She has danced professionally with Holy Land Experience and Disney World in Orlando Florida. ​Cherographing for the JCHS Dance Team for 5 years now, and watching them win has encouraged her to keep on and appreciate! ​Competing in several competitions across the United States, and winning award titles for self choreography, she has trained in all styles of dance, including; Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Swing, Ballroom and Bollywood. Her passion for owning a dance studio began when she was a young girl and found the joy in helping others become stronger dancers.​ Her​ training under Professional names, Mia Michaels,​ Dana Michaels, and Joe Tremaine helped her become a stronger dancer.​ Jessica graduated college with a Business Management Degree and plans to help the established studio grow.      S​he has attended the Summer Intensive Program with Joffrey Ballet Company ​in New York City and is certified with Progressions Ballet Technique. Jessica is also certified with Acrobatic Arts as an Acro Instructor. She is ready to continue this journey and next step of her life with all of you!

Veronica Whitton

Office Manager

Veronica has been dancing from the time she could walk, over 30 years dance training in various styles. her dance career started at High Steppers dance Studio in Southern California. Veronica was a member of her middles school dance team and had the privilege of dancing at various competitions and venues throughout Southern California. Veronica moved from California to tennessee when she was a freshman in high school and became a active member of the drama department and a member of the JCHS dance team. Upon Graduation veronica attended Walter State Community College on a Cheerleader scholarship. Veronica continued her education graduating From Tusculum College with a Bachelors in Business Administration and the University of Phoenix with her Masters in Education. Veronica is going on her 8th year coaching the JCHS dance team,coaching them to several National Championship titles. Veronica is also the coach of the ETDA All Star team, the Super 7 who have earned several national championship and had the honor of competing at the Varsity Dance Summit in Orlando Florida. Veronica has been teaching dance for over 15 years and enjoys every min of it.

Brandy O'Mary

Company Co-Director

Mrs. Brandy started her dance career by making the Maury Middle School Dance Team, which was coached by Liza Rutherford at the time. Learning that Liza owned a dance studio, Brandy started taking dance classes at ETDA. She continued on to make the Jefferson County High School Dance Team and had the honor to compete in local competitions and participate in the WIVK Christmas Parade. After graduating high school, she started teaching a few of her own classes at the dance studio and attended Walters State Community College. Mrs. Brandy now has her Associates Degree in business and is the Office Manager at her dad's company in Knoxville, while teaching dance classes in the evening. She is happily married, a mommy to two babies, and is excited to see all of her students!

Leah Rowlen

Dance Instructor 

Leah Rowlen has been dancing and teaching for over 15 years. A native of Mississippi she spent her early dancing with Ballet Magnificat, Laurel Ballet Academy, and Pine Belt Youth Ballet. She preformed with them in classical ballets and received training with many guest ballet masters. She received her BFA in dance from Belhaven University in 2010 and danced with Front Porch Dance Company for three seasons. Leah moved with her husband and son to Jefferson County in August of 2019 and is excited to work with the talent students at PDCA.

Hannah Jackson

Jazz and Hip Hop Instructor 

Hannah started her dance training at East Tennessee Dance Academy at the age of 3 and danced there all the way through her high school graduation. She competed on their competition team and won different awards and scholarships. While dancing at the studio, she also danced on the JCHS dance team through all 4 years of her high school career. After high school, Hannah attended Middle Tennessee State University and danced on their dance team all 4 years, and competed at UDA and NDA College Nationals. She has appeared in an American Eagle commercial and has danced backup for performers in Nashville. She has also appeared dancing in 2 music videos. She has recently graduated with her Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education. Hannah is very excited to be back and teaching kids to love dance as much as she does!

Ally Long

Dance Instructor (Student Teacher)

Ally began dancing at ETDA/ PDCA at age 2. She has trained in ballet, pointe, tap, acrobatics, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, lyrical, and musical theater. She is beginning her 16th year of dance and her 10th year on the competition team. She was a member of her high school cheer team for 3 years. After graduating, she plans to go onto college and live her dream of being on a college dance team. Ms. Ally is excited to teach and share her passion of dance with her students this year! 

Sadie Johnston 

Dance Instructor (Student Teacher)

Sadie began her dance training at East Tennessee Dance Academy at the age of 3. Continuing her dance career with Precision Dance Center she has trained in many styles of dance including ballet, pointe, contemporary, jazz, acro, hip hop, musical theater, and tap. Sadie is starting her 15th year of dancing this season and her 9th year on the competition team. She has auditioned and been selected for summer dance intensives with the Atlanta Ballet and Nashville Ballet, and participated in the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts dance program in 2019. Sadie is a senior at Morristown East High School, where she has been a 4-year member of the dance team. Upon graduation next year, she plans to attend college and continue her dance training, so she can achieve her dream of becoming a professional dancer.
